About Our Monthly Retainer Service
Our monthly retainer service offers you the chance to reserve a specific amount of time each month so that we can regularly work with you to improve and grow your online presence.
This option gives you guaranteed scheduling every month and it means that your projects get priority in scheduling over hourly clients. Hourly client’s projects are done on a first-come first served basis.
This is ideal for businesses that do consistent updates and need our services on a regular basis. It’s also great for those who want to maintain a certain budget every month. We can even use your retainer to spread out longer projects over time if affordability is a concern.
How It Works
The Basics
You’ll sign up for a monthly retainer billing plan and choose the amount of hours you’d like per month. The first 4 hours are billed at our current hourly rate. Any additional hours after the first 4 are billed at a reduced rate as long as you’re signed up for monthly billing.
Scheduling
Retainers start at 4 hours per month. This means that we can give you a dedicated time slot each week to work on your projects. This option is great for weekly blog updates, social media engagement and management, newsletter creation, etc. We can chat about what days and turnaround times work best, so you are able to have plenty of time to get any necessary content done for us to work with in advance.
If you prefer to schedule this as a block of time over the course of a few days each month instead of weeks, we can do that too.
Need More Hours?
If you want to increase your monthly billing plan, please reach out to us so we can make sure we have time available for you to schedule more hours. If you’d like to do this, just make sure to reach out by contacting us here at least 20 days before your next payment is due. If you'd like to purchase additional hours without increasing your monthly retainer, you may purchase hours individually here.
Terms & Conditions
In order to make sure we have time to get all of our retainer clients’ projects done, we’re not able to roll-over time that has not been used. If your retainer hours need to be adjusted, please reach out to us so we can adjust your billing at least 20 days before your next payment is due.
Cancellation Policy
If you'd like to cancel your retainer service with us, we would first encourage you to reach out to us about downgrading to less hours, if you are not using all of your retainer hours. If you are no longer using our services on a regular basis and would like to discontinue, you will need to meet the following requirements to do so:
- You must have been a paying customer for 3 months or longer, prior to asking us to cancel.
- You must contact us and provide notice a month in advance prior to your service being cancelled.
This monthly retainer may include the following services:
- Website maintenance, updates & design
- Social media
- Graphic design
- Technology support
- Consulting
- Other miscellaneous services that may not specifically fall into the above categories
These services will be billed at the current hourly rate of the Designer ($50/hour) for the first 4 hours each month. If the client wishes to pay for more than 4 hours, a discount is given additional hours as long as they are paid for in advance and on a monthly basis. Any other additional time may be purchased separately, as needed, at the Designer’s full current hourly rate.
Other Terms & Conditions
- Reservation of Rights: All rights not expressly granted above are retained by the Designer. Any use additional to that expressly granted above requires arrangement for payment of a separate fee.
- Revisions: If needed, up to 2 revisions are included in the final cost of website designs. Additional fees will be charged for revisions made after 2 revisions, and for additions to project scope.
- Charge Back Policy: Client understands and agrees that in the event the Client initiates a chargeback and/or merchant dispute with their issuing bank for the services they have received and in fact owe payment for, and the Client is successful in recovering the disputed funds that would otherwise be owed to the Designer, the Designer will make every effort to provide documentation to the issuing bank that the Client did receive any and all products and all services, including this policy. Further, the Designer reserves the right to invoice the Client for any and all products and any and all services that the Designer has sold and delivered to the Client. Client hereby agrees to pay the invoice in full in the event that a chargeback dispute is initiated. Should the Client fail to make appropriate payment, the Designer shall pursue any and all available legal and equitable remedies available by law. Any and all legal fees will be covered by the Client.
- Credits and Promotion: A subtle credit line suitable to the design of the pages will be used in website design projects. Designer reserves the right to include screenshots of any completed work in their portfolio, on social media and similar locations.
- Permissions and Releases: The Client agrees to indemnify and hold the Designer harmless against any and all claims, costs, and expenses, including attorney's fees, due to any content or materials included in the design at the request of the Client for which no copyright permission or privacy release was requested, or for which uses exceed the uses allowed pursuant to a permission or release.
- Project Exclusivity: No other individuals shall be hired to do agreed-upon work (unless approved by the Designer) while the Designer is in the process of completing agreed-upon projects by the Client and Designer in this agreement. In the event that another individual (who is not approved of by the Designer) performs any work on any of the ongoing projects that the Designer is working on, then the Client agrees to indemnify and hold the Designer harmless against any and all claims, costs, expenses, errors or issues with the project. In the event that an unapproved individual performs work on the agreed-upon projects without permission from the Designer, the Designer will cease work without providing any further services and all remaining fees will be due immediately and on the spot.
- Mutual Respect: Reach Absolute Clients are treated with kindness and respect by the Designer. The Designer will not tolerate abusive, violent, destructive, menacing, or harassing behavior from the Client or any party acting on behalf of the Client. If such behavior does occur, the Designer will quietly and respectfully inform the Client of the behavior. If the abusive behavior persists, the Designer will consider it a breach of contract, and cease work without providing any further services and all remaining fees will be due immediately and on the spot.
- Miscellaneous: This Agreement shall be binding upon the parties, their heirs, successors, assigns, and personal representatives. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding of the parties. Its terms can be modified only by a writing signed by both parties, except that the Client may authorize expenses or revisions orally. Any dispute arising out of this agreement will be resolved by negotiation between the parties. If they are unable to resolve the dispute, either party may commence mediation and/or binding arbitration through the American Arbitration Association. A waiver of a breach of any of the provisions of this Agreement shall not be construed as a continuing waiver of other breaches of the same or other provisions. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington and courts of such state shall have exclusive jurisdiction and venue.
